The Japanese bathroom manufacturer Toto is best known for their Washlet toilet, and also produces other toilet products. The company was founded in 1917 in Kitakyushu, Japan and currently has facilities in nine countries. The washlet toilet was the first of its kind, and is the company’s most popular product. Today, the company has over one billion toilets sold in over 150 countries. The TOTO logo is stylized to be more easily recognizable.
In addition to their own music, Toto members have played on numerous other artists’ albums. They have contributed to Boz Scaggs’ Silk Degrees and the Steel Dan album Sealed And Delivered. In the 1996 cartoon series Oz Kids, the character is replaced by Tutu. In the Sci-Fi Channel miniseries Tin Man, Toto was portrayed as a shape-shifting human. The original actor who played the role of Jeff Porcaro was Blu Mankuma.
