Should I Drink Alcohol?
To drink too much; to gulp down in excessive amounts; to quench your thirst. Drink (adjective) An excessively large amount of alcohol or an extremely high amount of it at once. In other words: to drink to death.
This beverage is not just one of the most consumed drinks in the world but also one of the cheapest and most accessible as well. It can be found at almost any corner gas station or convenience store in just about every country in the world. And beer is no different. Beer drinkers have been known to drown their sorrows over rainy days. But even though beer has universal appeal, the question remains: excessive amounts of it and drinking to excess can lead to serious health issues.
It is a fact that the vast majority of drinkers do not indulge in such behaviors because of social pressure or personal embarrassment. For example: alcoholic drinks are usually consumed when partying with friends, on special occasions, such as birthday celebrations, bachelor parties, or after a big victory at a sporting event. So, in essence, excessive consumption of this beverage should not be seen as a sign of deviance from one’s social norms. Alcohol use does not necessarily denote bad behavior. Excessive use of this beverage can also be the result of an altered human consumption of alcohol during cultural events, such as a European social gathering, for example.
What about soft drinks? Are they really worth getting addicted to? Are there any drawbacks, after all? A recent study showed that drinking soft drinks regularly can increase your chances of having many health problems, including cancer. And if you drink non-alcoholic beer, you would not face these same risks.
Wine may not seem to be a viable alternative compared to alcoholic drink, but it is actually worth a try. Studies show that drinking three glasses of red wine every day can reduce your risk of stroke and heart attack. In addition, studies show that consuming at least one glass of red wine daily can lower your risk of certain types of cancer, such as colon cancer, rectal cancer, breast cancer, and bladder cancer. A glass of red wine a day can also prevent damage to the arteries. It has also been found out that drinking wine can slow down the process of aging.
As you can see, there are many advantages associated with consuming alcoholic beverages, but there are also some disadvantages. There is no clear-cut answer to which drink you should drink on a regular basis. It all depends on your lifestyle, preferences, as well as what you need.
