Today however, most people consume soft drinks, cordial, liqueur, fruit juices and flavored teas.

In some parts of the world, however, there are certain countries where people consume alcoholic beverages, while in other countries people do not drink any drink at all. The reasons for this variation are numerous and include social, medical and psychological factors. Social factors are the result of the differences in culture and traditions among different countries. For example, in the United States in many places you will find a vast majority of people that drink alcoholic beverages, while in many other countries you will find the opposite.

Medical reasons may include the fact that in some instances people with certain diseases, notably heart conditions, suffer from complications as a direct consequence of consuming large amounts of alcohol. These complications include high blood pressure, cardiac problems and damage to the liver. Psychological factors are the result of people drinking large amounts of beverages when they are feeling stressed, frustrated, anxious or depressed. In these circumstances, a drink may provide temporary relief, but it can also have serious repercussions in the long-term, leading to damaging psychological reactions like depression, anxiety and anger. Of course, the above situations are not limited to the working class – anybody who has been through a difficult period in his or her life can fall into this category.

As far as psychological attitudes are concerned, most of the time, they are formed by long term consumption of highly alcoholic drinks. For example, teenagers often consume large quantities of sugary drinks such as cola or squash in order to cope with a number of tensions they may be experiencing at that time in their lives. Many of these drinks contain a large amount of caffeine, which is known to aggravate the pain of some physical conditions and also to stimulate mental activity. In the long run, these pressures can lead to serious complications that may affect the whole body.

On the other hand, when a person consumes red wine, it is known to have a relaxing effect that can have a positive effect on the whole body. The same is true for white wine; it is drunk for its refreshing properties. Over time, the two kinds of wines will tend to mix more until they reach a particular balance in their effects on the human body. Drinking red or white wine is usually recommended by physicians as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Studies have shown that drinking a glass of red wine with a meal has a positive effect on the heart’s health. It has also been established that the same thing applies for soft drinks and aerated drinks, as well as any other form of carbonated drinks. For this reason, people should consider having a glass of red or white wine with a dinner or lunch, along with soft drinks and aerated beverages. If you don’t like alcohol, but enjoy other kinds of soft drinks, the same applies to aerated drinks and fruit juices. However, it is important to choose what you drink according to your preferences and not according to the recommendations of others.
